This Charlotte, NC, modern art museum has a stunner of a building and “The Firebird” outside is the city’s Instagram star. But as Bechtler approached its 15-year anniversary, its story needed fresh eyes and its PR needed some love.

We quickly identified two areas where Bechtler Museum of Modern Art could shine and reach new audiences. First, we focused on LinkedIn, doing makeovers on the page and for the museum’s executive director. Then we developed a content calendar and strategy to attract those who work and live uptown and pass by this gem every day. Second, we identified the stories and storytellers Bechtler didn’t even know it had. We developed a strategy for communicating how the museum is evolving from the story of one prominent family’s gift to Charlotte to a cultural hub for living artists.

Bechtler’s LinkedIn followers increased by 30 percent in the first three months of partnering with By George. The page is consistently top for engagement and new followers compared with competitors.
